At Mascari Warner Architects, we understand that for a business to truly be innovative and responsive to the clients’ needs, there must be a shift from simply producing a service to creating an environment, evoking a feeling, and inspiring those who interact with it. From healthcare to commercial, offices to residential, we beautifully combine function with form from the inside out.

Scripps Mercy Hospital Nursing College Building

Overview

Adaptive reuse of the Scripps Mercy Nursing College Building including exterior renovation and restoration of the historic building façade in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior standards, and interior tenant improvements of the 4-level, 42,000 square foot building for use as administrative office space. Mascari Dinh Architects provided these services in two overlapping phases.

The college is one of three buildings within the Mercy Hospital Historic Complex, designated by the San Diego Historical Resources Board. The Italian Renaissance Style Nursing College Building is a four-story reinforced concrete building with a mission style clay tile roof.
